Colour palette

Think darker shades and natural colours – they look set to be popular in 2020! Combining white with dark greys and blacks will create contrast and impact. Again for contrast copper taps and sinks will complete the look. We think you’ll also see rich, deep colours used as accent colours. One of our favourites is a deep petrol blue.

Textures & materials

Marble is back! Granite and ceramics will be used throughout the kitchen. Roughened, industrial textures will also be popular including wood, concrete, metal and brick. Again, copper pendant lights, steel bar stools and appliances could all reappear in 2020. Stone and copper sinks with marble backsplashes will be a strong style in 2020.

Cabinets

Open shelving could replace upper cabinets for a modern look.

Kitchen technology

It’s been big in 2019 and will be bigger in 2020. Kitchen are getting smart from Technology like the Family Hub Refrigerator to being able to control appliances through Amazon’s Echo it’s a safe bet that we’ll see some truly innovative kitchen technology next year.
